If there is still a space station up at that time (which it would suprise me if there weren't, given the fact that we are seriously looking at permanent Mars habitation), just put the return craft into orbit and have the samples picked up by the station for testing and, if necessary, decontamination.  At that stage they can be brought back to Earth with returning crews.</description>
