The strokes merely caused him to lose the ability to use his eyes. In a way, he is getting the same information you or I would, but since he cannot use it correctly it helps him subconsciously. So yes, in a way you do have blindsght, but you see it as actual site. lucky you. @Rod

The lesson is that there is visual information coming "at me" or "into me" besides what I am conscious of. What must it be like to walk around things without being conscious of them?
