Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I had written and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to everything. Do you have any points for rookie blog writers? I'd definitely appreciate it.

Woah! I'm really digging the template/theme of this site. It's simple, yet effective. A lot of times it's hard to get that "perfect balance" between usability and appearance. I must say you've done a very good job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Firefox. Exceptional Blog!

My Mom is a nurse at a busy Chicago area hospital- Scott is right, no hoarding here. Hospital officials are optimistic that we are better prepared to vaccinate than last year.

More troubling to me is China. Chinese officials have historically down played disasters in their country, slowing reaction times to everything from earthquakes to the bird flu. Most seasonal flu's start in Asia already and if this bug mutates, rapid response could save countless lives.

Wash your hands, don't touch your face, buy purell, have a couple of weeks of canned food and some bottled water on hand- and live your life. Fear is worse than the flu!

The government is not hoarding the H1N1/2009 vaccine. Your pharmacist is wrong. Contact your county or state health department today -- they are the ones who will determine, in each state, how the vaccine shall be distributed.

My wife is a high-risk individual with multiple health issues. I called our family physician to schedule a shot. I was able to set an appointment for mid October for the regular seasonal shot but was informed that they were unable to procure the H1N1 shot. "not scheduled to receive any" Later that same day I was at our local grocer, where the pharmacy regularly issues flu shots, they had a sign advertising regular seasonal shots. When I queried the pharmacist I was told, again, they can't get H1N1. The pharmacist actually told me that the government is "hoarding" the shots with the plan of distributing in the event of a severe outbreak. The problem with that, of course, is that by the time you're exposed it's way too late to develop any immunity from the shot even if you got it almost immediately.
Disturbing news I've not heard reported by any news agency.
