People were so poor they couldn&#039;t even afford to die.  I would imagine  that an economist today would be looking for this being the result of rational choice.

About Ardi,  I would imagine the stories about her and her kinds&#039; behavior are on the way.   I don&#039;t know, does this do anything to all the tales about discovering our behavior through pretending we understand what chimps are up to?
