A Corporate dictatorship verses a political dictatorship! Yep, should be very interesting.........! I think that one of the problems that plague South American politics is that not everyone has been president yet.

The claim that Hugo Chavez has labelled Twitter use as "terrorism" traces back, after several layers, to a FoxNews.com piece called "'Terrorist' Twitter Threatens Hugo Chavez's Stranglehold on Media," by a conservative pseudojournalist named Joseph Abrams. Abrams does not say where or when Chavez said this, and his rendering of the "quote" is disjointed.

Further research, in the Spanish-language press, reveals that Chavez did call "terrorism" the use of Twitter to spread a wild rumor that Chavez was handing over key army commands to Cuban army officers: see http://www.elnuevoherald.com/noticias/america_latina/venezuela/story/640822.html . This is over-the-top rhetoric on his part, of course, but has nothing to do with "anyone using Twitter was guilty of an act of terrorism against the government."

DiscoBlogs has clearly passed on a false rumor here.
