Brings to mind the possibility of a connection between this finding and the reserch discussed in the current issue of Discovery Magazine (which I just finished reading) regarding the possibility that a genetically-embedded retrovirus is the/a cause for MS and schizofrenia.  Perhaps fully-functioning bone marrow is producing immune cells in these mice which is suppressing retrovirus activity?</description>
