Looking at the responses above you can already see two areas of use- the therapeutic and the cosmetic. On the cosmetic side, dermatologists have been using non-ablative lasers to induce a sort of “injury” to subdermal layer of skin in order to get the collagen to rebuild itselfs. It could be possible that a nominal injury of this sort would be enough to get the body to accept donated stem cells – nothing like an emergency to get everyone to pull together.

Iain good point. Wouldn’t be surprised if some countries or some individual athletes are already testing this. Heck, I cannot lie, I wouldn’t mind testing this out considering how hard I work out every darn day to stay in shape. The older I get the tougher it gets.
