i think what they are saing is those who have cognitive disablites have them for life like in math some peoplemight not be able to do math as an adult like balence a check book, because of there disability.

Spina Bifida DOES NOT lead to a life of cognitive disability!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!! There’s a chance for learning disabilities in the areas of math and science but MOST IF NOT ALL people withSB are of normal intelligence. I WISH these websites would JUST STOP SPOUTING THESE LIES!!! Countless fetuses with SB are aborted because of the lies that pregnant women are told about their unborn child(ren). It makes me sick and breaks my heart. SB is one of those “Wait and See” type things and aside from some level of paralysis and PERHAPS the need for a shunt you just can’t know what a child is capable of until they’re here. Give them that chance!
