@SilentSteph

      That information is already known. I forget exactly what the function is called or the part of the brain responsible for it, but it's fairly easy to look up. However, it's the part that when you sleep, shuts off your body's reception of motion signals from the brain. In sleepwalkers, this part malfunctions. The same for people who wake up with sleep paralysis. That is because the same part has stayed on after your brain has awoken. Just google some information about it. Sleepwalking and Sleep Paralysis should bring up the information on it.

Sleepwalking seems to 'run in the family'. I used to sleepwalk frequently as a child but my sister had it worse. She would leave the house while sleepwalking (she was only 8 so this was a big problem). I'm fairly certain I haven't sleepwalked in years but my husband let me know that I still enact and do alot of heavy 'twitching'.

This little study is pretty interesting to me :)

I have been sleep walking ( motioning) for years most of the time I automatically head to the living room/kitchen then back to bed no incident. This study does nothing for the big question for me: why am I sleepwalking.
Do people that have had a significant head injury/brain trauma/ skull fracture experience this?
Inquiring minds want to know
Thank You for the Article I saw the Link via Vito Labs aka Star Walk/Solar Walk/ Geo Walk. That statement was NOT AN ENDORSEMENT
