I am an astronomer, writer, and skeptic. I likes reality the way it is, and I aims to keep it that way. My real name is Phil Plait, and I run the Bad Astronomy blog.

Nuts. I think I deleted your email. :( Can you please resend it?

FWIW, I do not see mulitple copies, nor does my database give me any indication of them. Weird.

I have sent you an email with a few more details.

Thomas, Aerin- can you please send me an email or leave a comment telling me what OS and browser you use? I use Firefox on XP and only see one post, no matter what I try!

BA, I see many duplicates of your posts when using the "previous entries" button.

Did you break the golden IT rule: "Don't upgrade unless you have problems"? (If it aint broken, don't fix it). :-)

Re your Sun night 3/26/06 Coast to Coast AM statement, hit it on the nail when you described how the sun light through the trees during an eclipse left "whamo" images of the suns "crescents" all over my flagstone patio! About 10 to 15 years ago, sun nearly directly overhead (resided in N.E. IL {Lincolnshire, IL{) Was in house when it darkened in mid PM, birds quieted, things became still and I opened door to my large flagstone patio under heavy oak tree coverage and nearly flipped out when I saw hundreds of perfect sunlight crescents all over the patio! Just the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I was so absorbed in the 'fairland like scene", I failed to take a photo which would have been just spectacular. Relived it when you spoke about the optics with George Noury. Thanks for the memory, wish you were there! With kind regards from the Heavens... Gus
