Amazing birthday!

Rebecca from the SkepChicks (remember her? Of course you do) noted that last Monday was James "The Amazing" Randi’s birthday!

I missed it. Some friend I am. Of course, in my defense, I didn’t even know. So belated birthday wishes prayers positive thoughts happiness to the man who is helping to rid the world of the scourge of uncritical thinking.

P.S. That’s Randi on the left, Murray Gell-Mann (he won a Nobel prize for discovering the quark!), and me, from Randi’s The Amaz!ng Meeting in January 2006. Oh– I’ll have kewl news about TAM5 shortly as well!

I think the real shame is that it took you this long to real Rebecca’s blog! :)

I’ve been reading it since the first day! I’ve even mentioned it on this blog at least once before. And it’s in my sidebar blogroll, too. :-)

So much effort to remain a politically correct skeptic. Do you find yourself occasionally stumbling over words that are part of your societal heritage but are skeprically inaccurate? As in, “wishes, prayers, good vibes, etc”.

Hey Randi, I pray you will live a very long time and my best wishes go to you on this day of birth.

Now just don’t ask me to define WHAT I pray to,,and wishes are not about wishful thinking,,,they’re about desire!
