I love this: if you Google "khaaaaan", you get:

Also, somewhere online there's a plot of Google hits as a function of number of A's in Khaaaaa(...)n. It's one of the funniest things I've ever seen. I'll try to find it, sometime when it's not 1:30 in the morning. (On the other hand, such things are really best appreciated in the wee hours....)

OK, I’ll be there doing an exhibit of SF themed flying and non-flying models. Nothing big, just some model rockets (that flew in competition a couple weeks ago), some plastic models that can be converted for flight, a few that can’t and one gorgeous hand-turned model of the “Space Ark” from “When Worlds Collide.” At my request, the artisan who made it did not paint it, but rather varnished it bringing out the grain.

If you don’t make it past my booth (I have no idea where I’ll be), I’ll find you.

This title, following the Shatner roast in such short order, is almost out of line. And while other people are making requests, will there be any Niven/Known Space posts?

Fact of the matter is that I’m annoyed that nothing ever seems to happen around STL… although we did get a repeated B-2 flyover for Air Force Week a few weeks ago. For now I will content myself with the fact that stealth bomber > science fiction convention, for this is the Internet and by stating it without evidence I make it so.
