Philly Plait

I just discovered that the BA website got a nod from The Philadelphia Inquirer. They got the URL a little messed up, but it should still point people to my Bad Seasons page. Come to think of it, the autumnal equinox is coming up soon. Summer ended three weeks ago!

I’m a cook. I balance raw eggs on a daily basis. It is fun:). I’m not sure why people believe that equinox thing. Even if they gave it minimal thought you’d think that they’d come to the conclusion that it is unlikely to be true. I think that people simply don’t think about things at all.

I like a particular cultural definition of summer: Memorial Day to Labor Day. For folks here in the United States, that’s from last Monday in May to the first Monday in September.

Wake and smell the coffee BA. That Bad Seasons thing was for the following blurb,,,not yours.

Thank Newton for the end of simmer(no error). If the temps continue as they have I’m moving to antarctica.

    • About Bad Astronomy

Phil Plait, the creator of Bad Astronomy, is an astronomer, lecturer, and author. After ten years working on Hubble Space Telescope and six more working on astronomy education, he struck out on his own as a writer. He's written two books, dozens of magazine articles, and 12 bazillion blog articles. He is a skeptic and fights the abuse of science, but his true love is praising the wonders of real science.

The original BA site (with the Moon Hoax debunking, movie reviews, and all that) can be found here.
