Actually, that was me who nominated you. I write a blog called Bay of Fundie. It’s a play on words, both a reference to the amazing tides of Canada and to the crazy behavior of the religious right. The blog itself is devoted to combatting the misinformation spouted by the extremists. In the process, I sometimes post articles about skepticism and science. I just posted an article about human tails.

Anyway, when I saw the science category, I knew that you had to be in it. There are several very good science blogs, but this is the one I turn to when I need answers about the Universe.

Umm, Gary, that wouldn’t be The Grateful Dead, would it? Well, I was never a Dead Head, but at least they immortalized my name in a song…kinda…sorta.

Well, when it’s time to vote the BA has a BAUT board of several hundred loyal readers that might fry up some calamari.

Well, I for one, am going to go nominate you above the others because your blog is the “hub” to the other blogs I read (at least in my M.O.) In other words, I’m constantly coming here and then going to the links on the side. Contrary to what BA Brother once thought, I trust Phil’s judgment – and he picks them well. And he’s generally a good guy who attracts good people.
