I am an astronomer, writer, and skeptic. I likes reality the way it is, and I aims to keep it that way. My real name is Phil Plait, and I run the Bad Astronomy blog.

I found it just by looking at the colors (sorry, 'colours') on my Firefox screen. The links show up a different color.

And it's noticeable in Safari, especially if the text is enlarged a lot, it shows up without color - think about that. No, I'm not kidding.

But why wasn't another example OK? Just a stupid mistake, perhaps?

Maybe it's my monitor, but I had trouble finding it with out enhancing the difference. Knowing where it's at, I can see the color difference now. I'll note here that the character is again making an appearance in my reply and in every sentence, so far.

I'll also echo the comment: "too much time on his hands!"

I looked last night and didn't see it, but looked tonight and found it. It's easy to spot without software as the character is in a different color than the rest (at least to my default setups using Mozilla).

Yeah, somebody needs to get a life.

Wow.

I mean, frequently I'll show friends something that I found amusing on the net. (E.g. "Eric Conveys an Emotion.") The response is often, "somebody has too much time on their hands." I always bristle a little at this... after all, if each of us sat down and looked at what we did all day, I'm sure all of us have things that we do, and even things that we put energy in, that many other people would find a waste of time. Eric, for example, was presumably aumsing himself in his Convey an Emotion website; who are we to judge and say that it's all waste time? Just because you see no value in it doesn't mean that somebody else didn't. Heck, a lot of nerds on the Internet seem to think that watching a football game is a collosal waste of time; would you find agreement on that among those who think that (say) going to a science fiction con is a collosal waste of time? Foo.

But making a gigantic post that is all links? The only response I can come up with is that.... somebody has too much time on his hands.
