I think someone needs to explain who Stephen Colbert is. (I don’t watch his show often enough to fill in all the details, but he is basically a send-up of all the right-wing idiot news/talk show hosts on Fox, etc.)

Hoagland is known for his nonsense about Mars.

I thought the “On Notice” board was for making over-the-top attacks on things and people with which the audience was sympathetic (or which are just chosen weirdly, like black holes and bears).
