Buzz Aldrin on the Al Murray show

I just got a note from BABlogee Jim Spinner; he put a clip up on YouTube with Buzz Aldrin on a UK talk show.

It’s pretty funny! Stay tuned to the end where they talk about Bart Sibrel (sure, you remember that goofball). Al Murray is the host, and he had me laughing many times during the clip. I’ll have to look into this guy more!

    Hi Phil

I regularly read your blog, and will do even more so now as you got a link to Al Murray’s youtube vid. Al Murray is a cool guy, here, and very funny. He takes the p*ss out of everyone – the French, the Germans, sometimes the US, and even the UK – but it’s all good fun.

How about that, Dr. Rendevous made his own claim to fame on the moon!

That’s right Mr Sibrel, shame on you! And shame on all those like you!

Ha, that was great. Aldrin has a pretty good sense of humor as well :)

Just beautiful. Funny (I especially love the poor Special Effects guy) and respectful without being fawning. A nice pop-culture tribute to a great achievement and a man who had part in it.

That made me smile and I thought Aldrin came out of it very well. Wow – can’t think of many living ‘historic’ figures I’d like to meet but he sure would be one of them.

I’m glad Buzz has the guts to talk about his “pugging” that nut so frankly, once the topic arises. Most people would be too embarrassed to speak about such an event in their lives.

That was great – Murray was cracking me up, too. I’ve never seen Buzz talk about peeing on the moon. Glad to see his sense of humor is alive and well. And hey, he had the best flag! :-)

Good on ya Buzz! Ed Hillary was a Kiwi!

Oh man, what a great interview. I love how Murray broached Sibrel “I don’t even want to bring it up ’cause it makes MY blood boil, so I can’t imagine how it makes you feel…”.

    SHAME ON YOU, SIBREL!

Hilarious! Buzz kept up pretty well, and I especially liked him when he did an appearance on NUMB3RS.. when Larry (Peter MacNichol) was going to go on a Shuttle Mission as Mission Specialist.
(Which, considering he’s now on 24, makes me wonder if that is why his character was temporarily written out)

    J/P=?

Looking to talk with Mr. Aldrin either by phone or e mail about the stories he is looking for from Korean war vets. My uncle called me yesterday and told me he received a letter from Mr. Aldrin wanting to more about my uncles services during that conflict. I produced 160 episodes of personal stories of WWII vets for the history channel during 2000 and looking to do new ventures. I believe we should try and find as many stories possible for historical value.
