Skepticality interview

Hey, I’m on Skepticality again! I like going on there, and Swoopy likes me (and need I say it? MMMMMmmmm, Swoopy). Oh, and there’s that guy on there too. Derek something.

We had fun chatting about my impending life changes, the big supernova news last week, Scotty’s ashes, and just being critical thinking types in general. Michael Shermer is the guest before me, and since he’s their sponsor, I’ll let it slide.

You can get the file from the link above, or from iTunes (go to Podcasts; Skepticality is one of the top podcasts so it won’t be hard to find).

A great interview, but the bit that made me break out in a big grin was when you mentioned the Zula Patrol. My three-year-old son loves that show and has for some time, and having him absorb, digest and start talking about what he’s gleaned from the Moltopedia does get quite a few pop-eyed gawks when we’re at the store.

I should’ve paid closer attention to the credits, I guess. Great show, and it’s somehow gratifying to know you were involved in it. It’s nice to see good things overlap.

Wow, that’s great! I’ll tell the team. I’ve only on it this seasons, and so you won;t see my credits yet. But, the science advisor for Battlestar Galactica, Kevin Grazier, is on the team, so you’ll see his name there.

    Phil,

I guess I’ll have to go find Kevin without you this year and run off to lunch and talk about ya… ;)

Haha, what’s with the naked picture?

You should change to The Naked Astronomer.

    “What’s with the naked picture?”

    ???

Search this blog for “skepchick calendar” and all will be revealed. Figuratively.

I meant, what’s with the naked picture on the Skepticality site. On the latest episode preview there is a picture of you on the side… topless ;)

    Edit!

Nevermind, when I searched for “skepchick calendar” I got the wrong blog entry, seen it now. Disregard the above comment!

Sweet! I can’t wait to hear it. Your time on their show is some of my favorite.

    “Overwhelming tsunami of nonsence”

I love your way with words! What a great description and metaphor. I enjoyed your interview on Skepticality and your fun way of presenting science and critical thinking.
