We watched that last night. It was so funny, we watched it again 30 minutes later when it was rebroadcast, and we DVR’d it. Laughed so hard, I blew blue milk out my nose.
Oh, and coincidentally, I’m reading Contact. Great book, and pretty good movie.

The bit with the walrus guy in the Cantina was priceless.

I thought it was quite funny. My favorite part was the bit with Qui-Gon and Obi-wan when they dropped the lightsaber…so great.

Hulk Hogan?! Him, Mark Hamil, and George Lucas in one theatrical presentation is too much awesomeness.

One question. That janitor guy. First he cleaned up Darth Maul’s corpse. Then he cleaned up someone else’s . And finally he cleaned up The Emperor’s corpse. Who was the guy in the middle supposed to be? I can’t remember that part from any of the movies.

What on earth is this all about?
The blog post says:
“No words. Should’ve… sent a poet.”
There is no link to anything, and no clue what is referred to.

That was so…wrong.

@Brian: I think the guy in the middle was Mace Windu. Watch for the purple lightsaber.

Did they actually have to get permission from George Lucas to do this?

Bit hit and miss really, just that the hits were really spot on. Had more fun watching this than seeing ep 1 + 2 anyway.

Anyone have a URL to try a workaround?

Thanny, go to www.superdeluxe.com - that’s the home site. You can navigate to it from there (probably will still be on the main page).

Phil — thanks for the link. The “Contact” quote is perfect.
Gaijin51 — Phil’s quoting Jodie in “Contact”, when she travels through the wormhole and realizes there’s a hell of a good universe next door.
(Which is a quote from e.e. cummings. I’ll stop there.)

rickb… funny how so many people just don’t get that ending, isn’t it?
As for the Robot Chicken stuff, I’d seen the “go for Papa Palpatine” bit some time ago on YouTube, and thought it was hilarious. It’s still one of the best segments in the whole special, but there were quite a few good ones. I’m going to watch it again now.

This is an Adult Swim video. You can see it at the video site. Quality is also better, and split into episodes.
