I am an astronomer, writer, and skeptic. I likes reality the way it is, and I aims to keep it that way. My real name is Phil Plait, and I run the Bad Astronomy blog.

So what is it they are asking you to actually do that is more than think postitive thoughts?

The Transcendental Meditation guys at least want you to bounce on your butt. Not that I call that helpful, but it's doing something.

hey, I hope my mail (sent ~ a month ago) wasn't regarded as Spam or anything. I mean since you got that one mine couldn't be seen as Spam by your email service! :D
I read your notes about sending you email carefully before sending it. ;)

Anyways, don't we all get these stupid things? I use thunderbird and it works pretty well for clearing out the trash before I get it.

I notice they have a countdown timer to the day in which they want you to do good. Hey WHY wait? Is that like I guess I'll start my diet on Monday...

I found the website: http://www.thedaysofgood.org/TheDaysOfGood.html

I only skimmed it since it seem to be a long New Age (rhymes with sewage) rambling (I do not agree with BA that it is a cut above most sewage) but stopped when I read this:

"Let’s not underestimate the POWER OF THE CREATOR – SOURCE of all Creation by ascribing to him (according to our faint conception) the capability to create only one direction or way about which we think that it is the best one, the truest one, the only right one… But the best way for everybody is, in fact, just his/her own way. Certain (concrete) way or the direction is only one of many expressions of the Supreme Source!"
