Yep, what you see on TV is pretty much the way he is. Either that, or he stays in character the whole time.

Hmmm, tax evasion, incorrect representation of a taxable business (with no licenses) as a church, claiming to be exempt from income taxes because he renounced citizenship, attempting to legally renounce all of his signatures, obstructing federal investigations, attempting to hide and disguise assets, a grand total of 58 charges… these are all drug laws?

I do think there’s a drug problem here, Mike, but it’s not Hovind’s. Back off the dosage a little, ‘k?

Bashing Hovind because of taxes makes me think of the old phrase â€œpeople who live in glass houses should cast stonesâ€â€¦ lets see how many â€œdeductionsâ€ and â€œwrite offsâ€ you have taken â€œadvantage ofâ€ over the yearsâ€¦ I bet its more than Hovindsâ€¦

I’d bet against you. Most people are pretty honest on their taxes, despite what mass media would have you think.

Whatever could the “other side of the story” be I wonder? “We need to get our voice heard, but we have no evidence to back up our vacuous claims. Let’s butcher a documentary by a well-known and respected *real* scientist to make it look like s/he supports us”?

Rowe is way too nice to be a TV personality. About five years ago, when he was doing Evening Magazine, they asked our rocket club to be part of the show, specifically the “wraps” that go around each story. He was kidding and joking most of the time and really put everyone at ease.

On the frame menu on the left, pick “Gallery Archives” then “Promotional Activities” It’s the fifth entry down.

The thing that sticks in my mind is how tightly controlled TV is. As the production guy was wiring me for sound, he said, “you’ll have 55 seconds for your interview.” Not “about a minute” it was “55 seconds.” And it really was!

While it’s a funny concept, man, that is a horrible photoshop job, and bad execution. My brain hurts from looking at it. Have they ever heard of shadows? Nothing blends in. Just putting him in front of a building with the sign in front, instead of in a dump, would have enhanced the humor a bit too, IMO.

I think only a few people who follow “this particular” issue will get that pic..

Bashing Hovind because of taxes makes me think of the old phrase “people who live in glass houses should cast stones”… lets see how many “deductions” and “write offs” you have taken “advantage of” over the years… I bet its more than Hovinds…

And on this week’s episode of Dirty Jobs, Rowe visits (and cleans the grease off of) NASA’s huge crawler that transports shuttles to the pad and back. Very fascinating.
