I also found some tips at http://www.tiphub.com/48_Top_tips_for_viewing_meteor_showers.html which may be useful to the 2008 Perseid Meteor Show. Note that these also say to do away with telescopes and binoculars as they will cause you to chase the meteors rather than enjoy the graduer of the evening!! Thanks for the tips.
