Ozzie thoughts on the cruise

Update (Oct 7, 2007): Richard told me there was a problem with the original video, so he redid it. The links below have been updated.

My good friend and great skeptic Richard Saunders from Australia has posted a podcast with his thoughts on the Amazing Adventure II cruise to Alaska (direct link to MP3 here). He also has interviews with several people from the cruise (including Randi and Rebecca Watson).

He also created a video of it, using his voiceover and still images from the cruise:

Lots of pictures from the cruise have been posted to Flickr. You can search on the tags "amazing adventure 2", or click here, here, here, here, and here. I don’t have mine up yet, but I took about 400 and so it’ll be a while!

BTW, I hear that the next episode of Skepticality will have an interview with a cruiser as well. Stay tuned.

Um… you might want to reconsider the phrasing of that last sentence. The word “cruiser” has some connotations you might not have meant.

Should that not be “Aussie” or did you have Ozzie Osbourne on the ship as well?

Well, land of Oz…so Ozzie works too, IMO.

I have to admit, my heart leaped that the thought that Mr Ozbourne might have made that trip – I was all set to shoot myself for missing that opportunity (instead of just holding my head under water for an hour).

I see, though, that Dr. Plait is not up on his Internese. Shame on him. The land is Oz. Who lives in OZ (besides witches, warlocks, flying monkees (sic) and other mythical beasts)?

    D-UH!

    MUNCHKINS!

Say, at age 25, and non-American (South African), ex-fundamentalist (of sorts), potentially dedicating a portion of my life to help fundies, will I enjoy the Galapagos cruise if I go alone, with none of my friends joining me? (I’m sure I will, but I want to be certain. Of course, we can never be completely certain, not without some double-blind controlled scientific studies… <grin>)
