Sign me up for the remote controlled Dalek — it’s too bad it doesn’t come in full-size or with hover capability, though.

Did you see that there is an Optimus Prime toy “inspired by the movie?”

But wait, the movie was based on the toy.

    Norman, correlate…..

Oh, and yes, I did like 2001 the first time I saw it.

John Kennellon says: “I’ll whip you into shape if it hair-lips everyone on Bear Creek!”

Wow! There’s actually someone else who could understand Slim “Major Kong” Pickens as he dives through the mid-deck on his way to the bomb bay? I thought I was the only one crazy enough to parse through that sequence. The actual quote, though, is: “Stay on the bomb run, boys. I’ll get them doors open if’n it hair-lips ever’one on Bear Creek!”

I really want a weeping angel. That had to be the creepiest show of the current Dr. Who series!

    >>> it’s too bad it doesn’t come in full-size or with

Or the ability to exterminate humans.

I have some neighbors I don’t like, see.

i’m not a fan of the human-dalek hybrid look. maybe if he had a little gold crown or something?

  24. 24.   uknesvuinng Says:

    Two Points…

A: Worst dalek episode. Ever. I might even go so far as to say worst Dr Who episode, but I’ve seen only about a quarter of the classic Who. Certainly it’s the greatest fail of the new series.

B: A radio-controlled Dalek would be great. I’m very tempted to build one when I have that kind of spare cash and time. Consequently, it could be a while.

  25. 25.   StarDragon The Canadian Says:

You can get those from Forbidden Planet. They’re not full-sized, mind. That would be too expensive.

Oh, and they can’t actually exterminate anything, cos, you know, gun control in the UK and all that.

Chris, I agree. Blink was the best ep of the series.

  27. 27.   Sergeant Zim Says:
    October 12th, 2007 at 9:05 am

Currently building a TARDIS in my den. Unfortunately, it (probably) won’t be fully functional, but hey, it’ll be a neat place to store all the stuff we can’t find a place for in the new apartment…

  28. 28.   Sergeant Zim Says:
    October 12th, 2007 at 9:11 am

Oh, and yes, Blink was the best episode of the new series, and in serious contention for the best Who EVAH! (Certainly in the top 10).

I still like The Girl in the Fireplace, and The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances, though. As for the original series, I always had a fondness for The 5 Doctors.

  29. 29.   Tim G Says:
    October 14th, 2007 at 12:48 am

    Eric TF Bat:

That’s a Brooklyn accent, I think. Maybe it should be exstahrminate or perhaps exstoreminate. But definitely not any American accent like exstirminate or exstareminate.
