James Randi’s Amaz!ng Meeting 5.5 (because it’s not a full blown meeting) looks pretty good, and I have proof: the schedule has been posted. Lots of good speakers there, including ghost hunter buster Alison Smith, author and skeptic Michael Stackpole (I met him at Dragon*Con in 2006 and he is way cool), Sylvia Brown buster Robert Lancaster, and more. Including a pool party!
Man, I wish I were going. But wishing does nothing, so instead I’ll simply lament. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go.

“But wishing does nothing…”
Now now, it’s every bit as useful as prayer is.

I wish I could go, too. But maybe TAM 6.

I’ll definitely be at TAM 6. Will YOU?

I’m planning on going to TAM 6 and have already paid for the Galapagos cruise. I really can’t justify (to myself) the additional cost for what’s essentially a one day event on the opposite coast from me. Looks like it’ll be a fun time though.

I can vouch for Michael Stackpole, he’s a true gentleman.
I’ve been a gamer going on 25 years now, and I can remember when he helped debunk all that “D&D is a Tool of the Devil” crap back in the 80s. I’ve had the good fortune to meet him at many of the local gaming conventions and he’s always made an effort to visit my friends and myself when he wasn’t doing his talk or book signings.
As for TAM 5.5, I will not be able to attend, and TAM 6 is bit more of a pipe dream than reality, but I am pinching pennies for TAM 7 (or a TAM 6.5 if that occurs).

I’ll be at TAM 5.5 and look forward to meeting you and Rebecca. I have no intention of going to 6 because I just don’t like Vegas! Who do I talk to to try to get a TAM here in New Orleans? Vegas got NOTHIN’ on us!

As fun as it absolutely would be to attend (Mike alone would be well worth the trip,) flying to Florida just isn’t in my near future.
