Trekkers strike!

Via Look at His Butt! (a very funny but generally NSFW blog dedicated to The Shatner) comes the news that LAist has photos of the writer’s strike in LA, where lots of folks associated from Trek were walking the line. You’ll see lots of familiar faces there, including a certain Man Crush

Who’s the older fellow in the shot under Spiner and above the one with the sign about not “killing redshirts”? I don’t recognize him, and for some reason, I think I should.

Oh. Harlan Ellison. Never mind. I should have checked the image properties first.

Without writers we would (obviously) have no science fiction. It’s a pain to wait extra months for Battlestar Galactica etc. but I hope the writers battle through and win. I’m happy to see them fight for what they deserve in royalties.

FYI, John Scalzi has a post up featuring Wil Wheaton here:

Unfortunately if the strike goes any longer, Battlestar won’t be coming back, as NBC, parent company of Sci-Fi channel, is getting ready to ax it.
