I was very disappointed to find that my favorite astronomy calendar, Sky & Telescope's Celestial Wonders, has been discontinued. Astronomy Magazine's Deep Space Mysteries calendar is not as good. It does have a nice intro on telescopes for beginners - but doesn't have as much information (no star maps) and the calendar & fonts are too small.
