Official: blogger meetup in Austin!

Well, we’ve made it official: Pamela, Fraser, and I will be at the Iron Cactus restaurant in downtown Austin, Texas (606 Trinity Street, corner of 6th and Trinity) Tuesday night, January 8 at 8:00 p.m. We have a room reserved, and our fondest thanks go to George the Heliochromologist for taking care of that. Just so’s you know, he plunked down some cash for it, so if you go to the meetup and eat and drink, that will defray the cost (no doubt he’ll take donations too). It’s been a while since I’ve been there, but when I was there the food was good, and the drinks were too.

Fraser has some more info, including a map. Background info is here.

Darn. I have a meeting to chair that night. I will try to swing by later on. Are there any other Austin activities planned? Also will you have books for sale or do I need to pick up my own copy in advance?

If you’re in Austin Sunday 1/6, check out the AstroZone at the Hilton from Noon to 4pm. See http://www.imascientist.org/astrozone for more details.

Is there any chance you’ll be there on a weekend, so that the Atheist Community of Austin can have you as a guest on their TV show?
