I am an astronomer, writer, and skeptic. I likes reality the way it is, and I aims to keep it that way. My real name is Phil Plait, and I run the Bad Astronomy blog.

Thanks again Phil!

And YES, James Randi is CONFIRMED for Dragon*Con this year. He is now on the D*C website under the list of 'guests'. He will be part of 'Main Programming' and will do at least a big lecture in one of the main rooms.

Myself and Swoopy will once again be directors for Podcasting and now the new full Skeptic Track! We already have a whole slew of big name skeptics coming, including Phil! We now need to find another set of 'suckers' to take on the Skeptics at the big debate...

If you want to keep tabs on all the Skeptic Dragon*Con fun, we have our official Dragon*Con Skeptic Track website up now at:

http://www.skeptrack.org/

You can join the message board and help come up with good ideas for events and panels! :)

Skepticality can be something on an addiction, though what I really need is another TAM fix. I was able to attend TAM 5, and I hope to be able to get to TAM 6. I like the idea of skeptics at DragonCon, especially when I consider the costume angle - James Randi dressed up as Gandalf would be priceless.

Funny. I had a dream last night that I was hanging out in Italy with Derek and Swoopy. We got pulled over for driving through a toll booth without paying, and the Italian cops were really cool to us, because we didn't have any Italian currency to pay the tolls with.

Yeah, that's what I get for staying up really late listening to Skepticality :)

Good for you not missing TAM...now just get your butt back to DragonCon. I'm hoping that I get to go this year. According to the site, Randi is confirmed for this year!
