The chat itself is just an IRC chat room. You could try connecting with a standalone client, such as X-Chat or mIRC.

Hmm… I’m trying to get into the chat room, but I don’t know how. What’s the chat room name? I tried chat1.ustream.tv:6667 but it didn’t work. I’m just in there by myself :-/

Blah. It doesn’t work. Thanks a bunch for trying to help though!

If you use an IRC client you won’t get any of Phil’s commentary, which is kind of what’s carrying the conversation.

    Best day to do this:

Why not keep doing it at the same time as this one?

Ah, that was great, BA. Also, the time fit perfectly. You should do it more often, like once a week.

    Great chat BA!

It was very fun, perhaps you could post on some topics that eluded you eye during the chat:

–The confrontation between Anonymous and $cientology
    – On GRB’s, AGN’s and the Pierre AUGER observatory: I would love to see what you ahve to say about the possible relation between high energy cosmic rays and active galactic nuclei.

I’m sure someone else can add to the list.

That was really great, Dr. BA. Sorry I had to cut out.

It was very personal and friendly and lively. I enjoyed it a great deal.

    Kisses

Hey, thanks for the live chat, that was fun…a couple of random and maybe useful things that got lost in the scroll bar:

Chang’e is pronunced Chang (rhymes with gong, or with Ang, as in Ang Lee, the director) e (sounds like uuh, or a sound you’d make when puzzled–we don’t really have that sound in English).

    Sound files at:

Unless they’ve changed something since I last used it, to make a perfect circle in Photoshop, just hold down the shift key while drawing an oval.

That was really fun and informative. I’m really jealous that you have a signed first edition of Ringworld! Truly my favorite story and author of all time!

I hope you do that again sometime!

Hey, I’m sort of new here(been reading the blog for a couple of months) so it’s kind of a shame that my first post would be this, but you were talking about comics at one point and I love this one:
