Charles, then you'll be ecstatic with the news from Sci Fi Channel about Caprica. Apparently it is a 2 hour pilot movie, but I'm sure that if it's as good as BSG, it will be picked up. I just bought season 3 on DVD and my Dradis is set to watch the whole lot this weekend. It comes on at a weird time here in Canada and I never saw season 3.

Star Trek lost it's appeal for me when they kissed and made up with the Klingons. It's way to sanitized. IMO, the best Trek series, for me was Enterprise. I really enjoyed that show.

Oh, and did you see Lettermen's Top Ten a few nights ago? Top Ten Reasons To Watch Season 4 of BSG. The cast of BSG gave the Top Ten. On that list was Tricia Helfer's comment: "There's a good chance you'll see make naked," followed by Michael Hogan (Col. Tigh) "There's a good chance you'll see me naked."

Also, I don't think BSG is "Geeky" at all. They've managed to avoid the silly trappings of alot of sci fi with stupid gadgets. At first I wasn't sure what I felt about the old style telephones and wall clocks, but I quickly got over it because the use of those things makes sense in that world.

Only a week away from Season 4 of BSG. This is something akin to a national holiday in our house. We've been waiting a long time for this to kick off and hope that it lives up to everything that Ron Moore and company say it will be.

Of course, my friends and some co-workers love to snark about my being a "geek" for loving the show. Get over it. BSG is one of the most entertaining and intriguing shows in the history of ever, and its gritty reality beats the smarmy "we can all get along (except with the Borg)" world of Star Trek -- a show that has completely ignored the laws of human behavior, economics and physics since it came on forty years ago.

"By your command" reminds me of the Paladins from Warcraft II.

I'll go back to my nerd hideout now.

HA! That was my first thought too. I just bought BSG season 3 and this weekend intend to have a BSG marathon! I don't care what anyone says... Cylon or not, Tricia Helfer is one hot babalicious machine. I'd love to be Baltar. Needless to say, lots of Kleenex will be used during her scenes... to wipe the drool from my mouth.

I read the "by your command" part of the title, and for some reason the first thing that came to mind was the cylons from "Battlestar Galactica".
