Google Enterprise

From io9 comes the news that my favorite starship has been spotted on Earth, in a suburb someplace in Egypt.

It’s almost possible to imagine this was done on purpose…

Emily has another sighting of the good ship Enterprise, and in fact I saw it in a Hubble image some years ago.

In this image, there are several shapes that look like MY favorite ship, too!

Rectangles, they look like the TARDIS!

I just made a paper TARDIS yesterday. Very cool.

Dude, come on. If that pic is real, there’s no way it wasn’t done on purpose.

Looks like the Enterprise has installed several nice swimming pools! (BTW – for those wondering where “Al Qahirah” is, its “Cairo” to many Westerners.)

If you find Battlestar Galactica, don’t tell me. I want to wait til season 4 ends to see if they find earth.

BTW, slightly off topic, but several years ago, when I lived in Edmonton, Alberta, I visited what was then called the Edmonton Space and Science Centre. Someone had built a model starship out of PVC piping and mashed together model pieces from battleships. The detailing was amazing and you could never tell it was made from plumbing pipes! He had it lit up with Fibre optics and had hundreds of lights on it. It was his own design, and rivaled anything I have ever seen out of Hollywood. I didn’t get a pic unfortunately. If any readers from Edmonton remember this and have pics, please post them.

The bridge and main engineering are both swimming pools here. Starfleet could learn a thing or two from these people.

It must be designed by the captain of Golgafrincham Ark Fleet Ship B.

DON’T YOU GET IT? IT’S ALL ONE HUGE CONSPIRACY BY THE TREKKIES TO INFLUENCE US SUBLIMINALLY INTO BECOMING TREKKIES!!!

I just had to take the conspiracy theorist angle on this.

“a suburb someplace in Egypt”!? If you zoom out and then go south, you’ll find that it’s just a few miles north of the Great Pyramids!
