I am an astronomer, writer, and skeptic. I likes reality the way it is, and I aims to keep it that way. My real name is Phil Plait, and I run the Bad Astronomy blog.

Will Sky & Telescope and other magazines eventually end up
being fully online? A sad day in a way, but honestly that is
where I see the future heading with all literature.

Of course when our machines fail and no one can read what's
in them, and there aren't any printed books around, it will be
a New Dark Age.

I hate to tell you that this whole entry is based on a false premise. That's Dwight Schrute.

You did some "Ask Astro" segments? I'll have to go back and check. I read that section almost first every issue (after Bob Berman, of course) and I don't recall seeing your name tagged to any of them. Maybe I didn't know who you were then. In fact, first time I saw your name in print was a review of your first book ~2002. It must have been earlier than that.

If you can remember about what time it was, I'll go check. I have them continuously back to 1986 (I subscribed during the Halley apparition) and a few sporadically before that.
