Doubtfully drinking

Hey, for you folks in and around the Boulder area, there is a Drinking Skeptically tonight at 6:00 at Old Chicago on the Pearl Street Mall. DS is a series of social events for skeptics, and they are held all over the place usually once per month.

DS in Boulder is new, and this’ll be my first time there. I hope to see some of you there!

    Enjoy!

Skeptically drinking… Hmm, that’s enough to make me a true believer. Too bad I live near Vancouver.

I see that SciAm editor John Rennie attended the recent DS in NYC: http://www.nycskeptics.org/node/128/

Now BA must represent in his newly-adopted state.

(Sadly I cannot make it tonight due to other obligations.)

Michael: there’s a DS in Vancouver. Also goes under that anglo name ‘Skeptics in the Pub.’

ExtraBitter: contact the skeptic meetup in CoSprings. They’re thinking about hosting a monthly DS gathering.

Wow. I lived in Boulder until 1983. I was 11 when we moved away. I have vivid memories of playing pinball and video games at the (awesome) arcade that was connected to Old Chicago in the Pearl St Mall. I guess I’m surprised it still exists. I’m would be surprised any particular thing in that mall still exists since 1983, except for those awesome rocks strewn down the middle of the mall for the benefit of climbing kids.

Curses. Work Volleyball league every Wednesday for many weeks to come. Might be one is in Denver next time. Since I work downtown that would be an easier destination to get to.
