Sorry, folks, but they put us in a room way off to one side of the convention center, and no internet connection was available.
Today is the final full day of the American Astronomical Society meeting here in St. Louis. It’s also the last discussion of the International Year of Astronomy, in which Pamela, Fraser and Nancy, Chris, and I are participating. So I’ll be sitting behind the camera live-streaming the last session on IYA 2009. Pamela will be speaking.
You know the drill. Here’s the USTream page, where you can watch and also participate in the chat room, or you can just watch the stream below.

Hey BA, did you notice that you made it into the ‘Scenes from the Austin Meeting’ in the May/June AAS Newsletter? Page 8, bottom left: “Carolyn Collins Petersen (Loch Ness Productions) tried on space gloves after the Hubble servicing press conference as Philip Plait (BadAstronomy.com) looked on”

A moderate sized asteroid is headed for the Sea of Japan. NASA is collaborating with the Bush administration to nudge it so that it hits North Korea.
The impact date is October 25th.
