It seemed to take forever to get here. I really noticed the extra six months from TAM 5. I couldn't make it to 5.5, so no booster shot to hold me over. You first timers should really enjoy it. It's a lot of fun, with smart folks everywhere you look (at the conference at least). This'll be my 4th time attending, and I've gone by myself every time. There's no need to worry about whether you can get anyone to go with you. You'll meet plenty of interesting people there. Don't let that hold any of you back from going in the future. Finally! We've seen two of the other speakers at our local annual science talk. Art Benjamin was intriguing and got us thinking.
