Are you suggesting that the sun is the same size as the moon? Having said that I thought the earth looked about 3 or 4 times the apparent size of the moon when viewed from the moon? I wouldn't be surprised that the lens used on the camera and the aperture helped make the earth look smaller that it was too. Joe, why does the sun look moon sized when seen from the earth? Look at the Ascent Stage of the LM. Its design is asymmetrical. The propellant tanks are different sizes, so one side extends farther from the spacecraft centreline than the other. If you're looking at from the front, face on as we see it in the clip, the larger tank should be on the right side. In this clip it's on the left. You can also see that one of the antennae is also on the "wrong" side. Occasionally you'll see the same reversal in reprints of the photo of the Apollo 11 ascent stage taken from Columbia just before docking.
