Abe vs. the LHC

What’s the difference between Abe Vigoda and the Large Hadron Collider?

One has a website where you can see if he’s still around, and one has a website where you can see if you’re still around.

Awesome.

I think I know how the big bang began. It started when scientists decided to build a Large Hadron Collider about 13-14 billi0n years ago to find out what the origin of their Universe was.

Thus, we repeat not ourselves, but history. ;)

The website is correct, but highly misleading. I have information from a reliable source that assures me the world has already been destroyed. The scientists at CERN apparently destroyed it prior to starting up the LHC as a safety measure to prevent the LHC from destroying it when it is started up. I know quite certainly that the source is reliable because up to this point it has been completely accurate regarding whether the world has been destroyed, although I will withhold final judgment on the matter until they finish checking their instruments.

Yes, a javascript function for checking whether the world exists. Talk about overkill.

You don’t believe everything you read on the Internet, do you? I’m not taking any website’s word that we’re still here; I’m checking for myself.

    … … …

Okay, we’re still here. Carry on.
