I am an astronomer, writer, and skeptic. I likes reality the way it is, and I aims to keep it that way. My real name is Phil Plait, and I run the Bad Astronomy blog.

Hey, Phil! So this is why I'm suddenly getting lots of traffic on that photo. Thanks for the credit and link, and always feel free to help yourself. Tragically, I didn't make it to this year's session! Too much going on at the con.

I had to miss this taping, but I did catch your Science of Science Fiction panel. I imagine it's something you two will be asked to repeat again. And again. And again... >.>

I always listen to AstroCast, and was excited about this episode with you. But after the first half hour, there didn't seem to be much in the way of actual astronomy to it, it seemed more like a bar talk to me, and about science fiction shows, not astronomy.

Cool if I could be there doing the drinking and the talking, but couldn't even make it to the end here.

Enjoyable episode. While the Eagle may have been cool for its time, I was always intrigued and fascinated by Moya. ;)

Wow. Does Pamela actually emit light? You'd think that would be a bit of a hindrance for an astronomer.
