It works for me on several levels…
1) the art is fun. Great cartoon, high line quality.
2) the message is perfect, as Phil says, this one’s going on buttons and t-shirts.
3) …am I the only one who gets the “Quatermass 2″ reference?

I waffled on whether to use “the” or “teh” in this one. Looking back, I wish I’d gone with the typo. Maybe I’ll do an edit on the original for anyone here who wants to use it.

I just want to clear up one common misconception, and that is that ad hominems and insults are the same. They aren’t. An insult: “You’re a (insert derogatory thing here).” An ad hominem: “You’re a (insert derogatory thing here), so therefore you’re wrong.” An ad hominem is a negation of the argument because of some characteristic of the speaker, and is thus a form of fallacious reasoning. An insult does not attempt any reasoning whatsoever.
