Space monster mashup party

Looking for something to do on Halloween to allow you to dress up, flaunt your geek, and support private space exploration?

If you live in NYC, then you’re in luck! Go to the Space Monster Mashup Ball, sponsored by the Space Tourism Society’s NYC chapter. I got an email about it by the STS, and it mentioned all sorts of fun activities and prizes…

Park Avenue Space Travel – an accredited travel agent for Virgin Galactic – will present actual space travel offerings and exhibits from Virgin Galactic, Nastar Center and Zero-G. They will also donate a space travel themed door prize to be raffled off amongst guests.

Cool. It looks like a lot of fun, and makes me wish I could drop by The Big Pumpkin Apple for a while and hang out.

“They will also donate a space travel themed door prize to be raffled off amongst guests.”

Would this be a free vacation on the Space Station?

What, JREF is not sending you there as a representative? :-)

It would be fun, indeed. Unfortunately, budgetary reality keeps most of us in the provinces from going too.

Hmmm. Is that space TOURIST or spacey tourista?

In the middle of the last century, watching Space Patrol, Or Buck Rogers or reading ANY sciFi was considered a joke and somewhat in bad taste. SciFi was usually referred as “that Buck Rogers C#*P,,,”.
How far we’ve come in only a half century,,,

Mashed space monsters, well mixed with Vegans,,,er, I mean Veggies,,,

In fact the door prize is a custom-fitted NASTAR flight suit! OTher prizes for costume contest and fashion design contest include a gift basket of space travel stuff from Virgin Galactic, ZeroG and NASTAR, several dinners for 2, several bottles of yummy Rocket Science wine (delicious with Naked Bunny with a whip), gift certificates from Halloween Adventure and from DeMask (whose models will be in attendance in full kinky regalia), and several gift certificates from Roy Teeluck, stylist to the stars! We hope you’ll come in person but if you can’t get to NYC for this one, celebrity photographer Frank Capri expects to make a video for YouTube. Rock your Planet! http://www.spacemonstermashup.com
