Second life interview tonight!

Just a quick reminder: I’ll be doing an interview in Second Life tonight at 7:00 Mountain time (02:00 GMT) with Michael Stackpole. We’ll be talking astronomy and Death from the Skies! I’ll be easy to spot; I’m the one who keeps standing up, bumping into walls aimlessly and spinning around.

I will be there, if Linden Lab can keep the danged thing running long enough. I’ll be fairly easy to spot, too. *points at his descriptive handle*

It’s been months since I’ve been on SL, but I may try to drop in tonight. Good timing, since I just picked up my local library’s copy of DftS yesterday and haven’t started it yet (I’m in the midst of Richard Preston’s Panic in Level 4 right now).

My avatar is a fennec, but I generally stay clothed.

I will be dressed too, if leaves count.

You realize that this interview starts just minutes after the launch of STS-126? I think we might have a schedule conflict.

    Perhaps we’ll get live commentary.

I usually end up flying and I can’t get down, so you will know how to find me.

I just joined up, but can’t figure it out :(
I ended up in a nudist colony, I think :)

Wow! I sent the message “I love you Phil!”
And he said “Hi Zurack, I love you too”

    WOW! XD

Okay, so I’m in the big house after downloading a current version of Second Life. But I’m not quite sure where to go. And I’m clothed in normal clothes as StarCamp Forager in a purple top and jeans skirt. Ah, upstairs there’s a gathering.

    I can’t teleport to the location. :(

  14. 14.   Freiddie Says:

Darn. SL won’t allow me to teleport there. Oh well, I guess I’ll be missing the show.

I was in… then it kicked me out… and now I can’t teleport back cause its full.

    ….Netty is distraught.

Oh well, Second Life crashed and I lost the last 15 minutes, but it was great! He answered my questions and everything! :P
This is the first time I heard him live!

Around 42 attended which is pretty well the limit for a sim in SL and is also a huge crowd in SL.
    Excellent talk Phil.

Phil said I’m the one who keeps standing up, bumping into walls aimlessly and spinning around.

And disappearing… you forgot about the disappearing trick… Phil Plait the ghostly voice from Second Life.

I was there – Unfortunately I’ve never been able to get Voice Chat to work, so after ten minutes I sadly got up from my stool and left (Hopefully making room to allow somebody else to get in).
