This week’s Carnival of Space is at Starts With a Bang. So get started with your bang and read up on spacey stuff.
For you Whovians, if you haven’t heard yet, the BBC website has up a fantastic history of Doctor Who. I’ve only had a few moments to read it over, but it looks very cool.
Copernicus’ grave may have been found. This has been a long-standing mystery, so it’s an interesting bit of history.

Wow. That’s some serious effort those folks put into identifying his remains. Score one for forensic archaeology.

Copernicus looks remarkably like Zephram Cochrane (at least as portrayed by James Cromwell) — http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/Zefram_Cochrane — who likewise vastly expanded (will expand?) Humanity’s view of our place in the universe.
At least we know who to get to play Copernicus in the movie of his life story…

That is cool about the hair and the book. I guess it’s nice that what they expect he’d look like also matches fairly well the well known portrait of him. Methinks I’ll go look now!
