What happens when you take the two greatest things in the entire Universe and put them together?
This.
If you are a Trek and a Who fan, then watch the whole thing, until the very end of the teaser for Part II. It is without any fear of exaggeration or contradiction when I say that it is the best thing ever to have happened ever in the history of everness. Ever.
How can you not love this framegrab?

One of these days, I’m going to check out this Dr Who stuff that everyone seems so excited about.
It’s good to see that production values on BBC shows in 2008 have finally caught up to U.S. TV shows from the 60s

It would be best if they used the Star Trek time travel episodes:
Tomorrow is Yesterday
City on the Edge of Forever
Assignment Earth

I didn’t get the significance of your title until after watching the video. Now I wish it could have been an actual line.

FANTASTIC! as Doc. number 9 would say.
I still maintain however that this,

is the greatest thing ever to have happened ever in the history of everness. Ever. And then some.

OK I said “squeee” like a little school girl when I watched that. That was so cool.

Alright, that’s it I’m doing a Dr. Phil Plait/Fallout 3 video.
December 22nd, 2008 at 5:27 pm
Or, you could try Star Trek Generations – Pirates of the Caribbean from the same guy…

Phil,
Have you read “The Doctor and The Enterprise” http://www.amazon.com/Doctor-Enterprise-Jean-Airey/dp/1556982186 ?

I’ve been a Doctor Who fan since I was eight, but I’ve never been into Trek. My vote for best American TV series in the same genre goes to Stargate.
One thing that’s always bugged me is the way that an explosion or other violent event outside the TARDIS causes the inside of the TARDIS to shake violently. Being dimensionally transcendental ought to be an extremely effective dampener, if you think about the physics for two seconds. But as always, drama trumps logic.

How about going to slightly before Space 1999 to Gerry Anderson’s UFO?

I’d love to say that was the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. But then I’d be lying. Interesting for the first 30 seconds yes. After that I it was just boring computer generated trickery. What is that saying people use… just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
December 22nd, 2008 at 9:19 pm
How the hell did they do that!? I never heard Scotty say, “Jackass”!
December 22nd, 2008 at 9:33 pm
@Adrian Morgan… you’ve oviously never seen the new Battlestar galactica!
Seriously, anyone that does not like BSG needs to see a “Doctor”
December 22nd, 2008 at 9:51 pm
LMAO That’s fantastic. Good combination of two awesome things.
December 23rd, 2008 at 2:50 am

Wow! “The Doctor & the Enterprise” comes to life.
December 23rd, 2008 at 8:37 am
LoooL! Loved it!!!!
Now for the climax: they’ll encounter a black monolith with the dimensional aspect ratios of 1:4:9 ;-D
December 23rd, 2008 at 12:31 pm
Excellent!
My favorite shot, though, was the TARDIS in the transporter bay, followed by the end shot and then the TARDIS – Enterprise shot.
December 23rd, 2008 at 3:36 pm
The internet has come a long way since Jean Aireys’ The Doctor and the Enterprise!
