I don’t think comment is needed. Cute rock formation though

The human-like face is totally fake, but there is no way that dog like face could be faked!

That’s obviously a Martian homage to Laika and Sputnik II.

Taco Bell has the scoop on the intergalatic market. Could Judge Dredd possibly be a real oracle of the future of humanity?

  9. 9.   John H VanOphem Says:
    December 29th, 2008 at 11:33 am

Oh they finally opened the Taco Bell franchise there?

Don’t you all remember that Marvin the Martian had a dog? That’s him, watching us while his master loads the Illudium P38 Explosive Space Modulator into his gun.

“I’m going to blow up the Earth. Isn’t that lovely?”

  13. 13.   GregW Says:
    December 29th, 2008 at 11:49 am

Ok, I can’t take this anymore….I BELIEVE IN DOG!

Whew….I feel so much better now.

  17. 17.   Masks of Eris Says:
    December 29th, 2008 at 11:58 am

So Laika survived, and is now a giant mutt staring at us from the surface of Mars? And is that the maniacal gleam of insane, world-destroying hatred and unspeakable canine revenge I spy in his (flying) saucer-sized eye?

“Er, a dog ate my International Space Station…”

The shadow is soooo at the wrong angle!

In fact, using triginom… trigina… twiggynum… using hard sums I have calculated that there is a stage light precisely 4 inches sort of up and to the left a bit – just under the ‘ted’ in ‘Presented’.

Hey, this debunking malarkey is easier than I thought… bring it on, Plait!

  23. 23.   Measure Says:

This brings back an old memory. In grade school, in the 80′s, in the USA, I was subjected to a filmstrip documentary about the face on Mars.

Not only did the documentary show the classic face, but it also showed dozens of other faces found on mars, including at least one dog-face on mars.

This is why I believed in the face on mars well into my highschool years… the documentary had shown not just one, but dozens of examples.

Now I know it’s all bunk, but I sure wish I knew how that documentary made it into the educational system.

  32. 32.   Nicole Says:

I’ve noticed that astronomers tend to be cat people, so the man on Mars would totally have a cat, therefore, it’s faked. QED, bitches.

  55. 55.   wb Says:

At first glance, I see a llama. I love llamas. I’ve never like chihuahuas, an older relative had one when I was a kid and it was mean yet prone to having it’s eyes pop out.

  56. 56.   dogmeatib Says:
    December 30th, 2008 at 12:11 pm

It is a Martian Rust Guanacos (related to the Llama), makes perfect sense. Also explains the Nazca lines.

Why no comment? I can think of lotsa things to say about that! ;-)

Skippy (the bush kangaroo) has bounded a long way up … ;-)

Or are the aliens telling us they are from Sirius or Procyon – the big and Lil’FDiogstars -or Sirius b the white dwarf “Pup”/ ;-)

Or any other stars in Canis Majoris / Minoris … Or Canes Venatici (the
hunting diogs constellations with Cor Caroli Alpha Canum Venaticorum) as lucida (brightest star) ..

    Anyway: Where’s it from?

Yeah, Mars I know but the photo is via ..???
