And looking at the guest list for Dragoncon, Phil, you’ll be even more in Turbo Dork mode, as you have an Epic Win Weekend. So many astronomers, skeptics and all-around hoopy froods there.
Its not often I can say something totally obscure and have the nearest five people know instantly what I mean, but it happens there. Can’t wait.
I must be an aging dork because that mostly has me sighing over the fact that the Doctor is getting younger and more youth-oriented with each incarnation. I’m glad William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee never lived to see this.

Could be like Benjamin Button, or some of the stories about Merlin. (or hardcore Piers Anthony fans, Chronos/Time in Bearing An Hourglass)
Keeps cracking me up, even after having seen it 10 times. But then again, I fall asleep at night with Doctor Who in my ears – I play the episodes on my iPod to hear some familiar voices, which helps me unwind.
Just wanted to say that I appreciate all the cool links having recently watched the Doctor Who specials. Great froods lurk in this zone indeed.

About Bad Astronomy
If you went to BadAstronomy.com and found yourself here, never fear: the BA Blog has moved to its new home at Discover Blogs. The original BA site (with the Moon Hoax debunking and all that) is still online, too.
Phil Plait, the creator of Bad Astronomy, is an astronomer, lecturer, and author. After ten years working on Hubble Space Telescope and six more working on astronomy education, he struck out on his own as a writer. He has written two books, dozens of magazine articles, and 12 bazillion blog articles. He is a skeptic, and fights misuses of science as well as praising the wonder of real science.

Bad Astronomy is a Wikio Top Blog! Clearly, Wikio has excellent taste.
"If things worked the way I wanted them to, any reporter about to do another 'sensational' story on deadly meteors would consult this volume, and bang! common sense would find its way into the news. How strange would that world be?" -- Adam Savage, Mythbusters
"Reading this book is like getting punched in the face by Carl Sagan. Frightening, but oddly exhilarating." -- Daniel H. Wilson, author of How to Survive a Robot Uprising

Hrm. I may have to hand back my dork card. Maybe I’m just in need of something caffeinated, but I’m not getting it. A little help?
April 19th, 2009 at 10:30 am
I will admit, I laughed out loud at that! As my wife would say, “That’s adorkable!”
