Space Carnival 101

Somehow it seems appropriate that this week’s Space Carnival has an introductory-astronomy-class-like number; if you read those posts you’ll get a great intro into space and cosmic learningness. So go over to host Robot Explorers and have a fun weekend with your head above the clouds.

“Where are They?” (Frankly, I think that they live down the street from me.)

    I know that feeling.

Oh, and congrats to Emily Lakdawalla on a successful (albeit abrupt) culmination of her latest project. (A.k.a. the little Planetary Societarian.)

    Phil,
This has nothing to do with your recent post, but have you had further success publishing article sin SEED? I want to write a short summary of writing for various science mags for a class–and I cannot find their writer’s guidelines ANYWHERE! Please email at the email I provided for this post (which I hope you can see).

Are these the guidelines you’re looking for?

OT slightly. I just came across this piece of insane suicidal self-hatred. Maybe Phil should comment on that. ( I myself was not able to say anything about it but the worst insults, so maybe someone more patient should try ) .

T_U_T — I read that, too. What a bunch of self-pitying whining Mr. Mathews did. So, now, it’s “Wah, wah, wah, things are screwed up so I think we should all forget about moving forward.”

    sheesh

Phil Plait, the creator of Bad Astronomy, is an astronomer, lecturer, and author. After ten years working on Hubble Space Telescope and six more working on astronomy education, he struck out on his own as a writer. He's written two books, dozens of magazine articles, and 12 bazillion blog articles. He is a skeptic and fights the abuse of science, but his true love is praising the wonders of real science.
