My physics department offers this opportunity every year. Three days for just 50€. We weren't able to see the LHC, but it was amazing none the less! I was really shocked, when we drove through CERN for the first time. It looks more like an old shabby industrial area than a super-high-technological laboratory. But beneath the crust there are very amazing things to find ;) . We were allowed to take a look into the lab where they checked the new magnets before they were installed in the LHC - really astonishing stuff! But seeing the LHC would really rock!
