THAT IS NOT HOW FUTURAMA WORKS!

Pardon the title, Morbo was yelling at me.

So Futurama is coming back. Yay!

Then rumors abounded that Fox wasn’t bringing back the original voice actors. Boo!

But now it looks like they are bringing back the original actors. Yay!

So what’s next? They won’t have Hypnotoad?

Listen up, Fox: YOU WILL BRING BACK HYPNOTOAD. YOU WILL…

Good. Futurama wouldn’t be the same without the original voice actors.

After being disappointed with the show’s resurgence in movie format (which, I feel, doesn’t work so well for a show like Futurama), and being further disappointed at rumors that the original voice actors might not be involved in proper new episodes, this is very good news indeed.

It might be time for another production run of Torgo’s Executive Powder…

Excellent! But the word you want is “yea”, not “yay”. Two different words.

Whew! Given FOX’s panache for making, well, let’s say “mind-meltingly horrible” decisions regarding their programming, this comes as a substantial relief. If they’d have recast the series fans would have revolted and formed riot mobs outside of FOX headquarters. And I really wouldn’t want to have to do that. I mean, I think they still know me from when they canceled Firefly.

Yay! I was so disappointed when it first came out that the original voices might not be returning…what a relief :)

On a completely unrelated note…I was wondering if you (Phil) or anyone watched the show Defying Gravity on Sunday. I thought it was a good show story-wise and was wondering how good the science is (aside from the nano-technology creating artificial gravity)…is it informed by SEE? It seemed to be pretty good, but I was hoping you would give a review of the show, especially since it seems that it could possibly get the public more excited about space exploration. Sorry if you’ve already talked about it and I somehow missed it!

Having all the original actors back is as vital to Futurama as the L-Unit is to space travel. Bad news nobody!

Fox had better, for everybody’s sake, give Hypnotoad the Glory that is His. Otherwise on December 21, 2012 He will destroy us all.

Meh, I’m waiting for the remake in the actual year 3000 (assuming we don’t all suffer Death from the Skies(TM) before then). It’s not like being heads in jars will stop the cast from being able to speak their parts!

Ah, who am I kidding — Futurama rocks and I can’t wait for morALL HAIL THE GLORY OF THE HYPNOTOAD!

  28. 28.   Brock Says:
