I have had a space shuttle operators manual since something like 1986-7ish... I love that books as well as a Mars Exploration book sort of like the shuttle book... very fun when you are in elementary school and very into space.

I’m delighted Wil has a Fruit F****cker Shirt.

I felt so cool for recognizing that.
Wait. What's the opposite of cool?

I watched The Big Bang Theory or recorded it on my computer TV and rewatched it and kind of got into it, but I haven't gotten to see it this year. Our local CBS station was running CSI: Miami instead. I don't know if it was a really new episode or a rerun. It involved genetically engineered corn that sometimes "accidentally" made botulism toxin.

So, I was disappointed not to get to see this particular episode.

Especially since the same station is rerunning Star Trek: The Next Generation late nights after the news.

Maybe this is why someone did not like the pilot episode of TBBT - from Wikipedia:

"The show's initial pilot, developed for the 2006–07 television season, was substantially different from its current form. Only Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki were in the cast, and their across-the-hall neighbor (now played by Kaley Cuoco) was a much meaner character. The show was not picked up, but the creators were given an opportunity to revise the show, bringing in the remaining leading cast and retooling the show to its current format.[23]"

Think of TBBT as the geek version of Will and Grace.

Makes geeks more acceptable to the general public.
